Mountain cheese PDO medium
Description
The classic in exceptionally good quality. The raw milk cheese made from silage-free hay milk is matured for six months in a lowland ripening cellar until it reaches its peak. It has a great aroma and the typical mountain cheese consistency. The hard cheese belongs on every cheese platter and is the basis for sophisticated Tyrolean cheese dishes.
- Lactose free
- Natural bark, smear ripening using rock salt
- At least 50% fat in dry matter
- Shelf life: 50 days
- Storage: 4-8 °C
- With Schüttelbrot and strong, fruity white Bordeaux
